Roberto Rossellini filmed Psychodrame in 1956 for the Centre d’études de radiotélévision, documenting three psychodrama sessions organized by Professor Jacob Levi Moreno together with Anne Ancelin Schutz‑Emberger. The project allowed Rossellini to explore this participatory acting method and to consider the educational possibilities of television. Cinematography was handled by a young Claude Lelouch. The film has been digitally restored by the Archivio Nazionale Cinema Impresa‑CSC, the Institut National de l’Audiovisuel and the Museo Moreno.
