Kanhaiya is an innocent man in search of his true love, but his best friend Rocky is far from innocent and moves through life with flirtatious ease. One routine day at work, Kanhaiya is distracted when a woman dressed in red walks into his office; a seemingly small incident spirals into chaos as she unknowingly drinks a coffee laced with a powder that stirs intense desire, leading to a frenzied clash that ends with the woman toppled onto a photocopier. The aftermath pushes Kanhaiya into trouble, and during a tense meeting his father, Mr PK Lele, reacts with fury, firing him on the spot.
Rocky has a plan to impress his own family at the grandmother’s 69th birthday. He brings a cake that crosses every line of propriety, which only compounds the anger of PK and Kanhaiya’s stepmother. When Kanhaiya asks Rocky to buy a gift for his grandmother, things take an even weirder turn online: he watches porn and masturbates, and in a moment of honesty, discovers that his grandmother has walked in on him. The shock triggers a heart attack, and the sudden tragedy lands Kanhaiya on the wrong side of his home, ousted from his own house.
A remote invitation from childhood friend Mickey, who now runs a porn parody business in Thailand, offers a different path. Though Kanhaiya initially refuses the idea of working in a disreputable industry, persistent persuasion and the lure of partnership pull him in. He joins Mickey, along with a group of actor friends—Merili, Shakuntala, and others—and together they begin making adult parody films of popular Indian movies.
A chance encounter at a mall changes everything: Kanhaiya meets Shalu, instantly drawn to her, though she mistakes him for a pervert and leaves. After a seaside encounter where misunderstandings are cleared, the two begin dating, but Shalu wants to meet his family before they wed. To protect the secret of his job, Kanhaiya and his friends assemble a fake family for the meeting. Shalu and her traditional father, Mr Karjatiya, arrive to find a lively, convincing family portrait, with Mickey posing as Kanhaiya’s father and Rocky also pretending to be his father. The illusion grows more complex when Kanhaiya’s actual father arrives with his stepmother, and everyone lies that the stepmother is the real mother who left Rocky for another man.
As the ruse continues, the group’s plan begins to unravel. The actors struggle to keep the deception intact, and the situation nearly collapses during a dinner where everyone becomes uncomfortably affectionate with the wrong people. Karjatiya, suspicious of the odd dynamics, witnesses the powder-kissed mischief and the unintended closeness between characters, which only thickens the plot. The deception hangs by a thread, and the decision is made to push ahead with filming in secret, even as Sindoor (Karjatiya’s mute wife) and her translator nephew Jimmy stumble upon parts of the ruse.
The tension peaks when Karjatiya’s curiosity about Vidya—the supposed girlfriend—drives a beach-side dilemma. To win over Karjatiya, Kanhaiya disguises himself as Vidya and, in an odd twist, also draws the attention of his own father. When the family later suspects that Kanhaiya has vanished, Vidya fabricates a tale that he is in the mall, sending the entire clan on a wild goose chase. In the mêlée, the group accidentally leaves behind DVDs of their films in a store, forcing everyone to snatch up the discs to avoid exposure. The store delay turns into a dramatic reveal: the family learns of the duo’s dirty business, and Karjatiya calls off the wedding.
Despair nearly takes hold as Vidya, revealed to be Kanhaiya in disguise, contemplates suicide and dashes to the beach. In a tense sequence, he, Rocky, PK, Karjatiya, and Sindoor become trapped in quicksand, until Mickey and Shalu arrive in a hot air balloon to rescue them all. The miraculous escape leads to a moment of confession and forgiveness: Karjatiya forgives Kanhaiya, paving the way for him to marry Shalu. In the end, Mickey chooses to direct family-oriented movies once more, steering the group toward a more wholesome path.
Throughout this romantic farce filled with mistaken identities, rash decisions, and farcical set pieces, the characters confront consequences, seek reconciliation, and ultimately rediscover the value of love and honesty in a world where appearances and pretenses threaten to derail happiness.
