Monghi, Manasi Parekh, is a talented artist and devoted housewife living in Bhuj, a city in the arid region of Kutch. She keeps a peaceful home by quietly supporting her husband, Dharmesh, Dharmendra Gohil, a middle-aged museum curator for the Government of Gujarat who is smart, dynamic, and increasingly drawn to Mamta, Heena Varde, a younger associate. After 22 years of marriage, a quiet unease settles over Monghi as she senses a loveless rhythm at home, even as she keeps faith with the life she has built.

The women of the village form a sisoty—a whistle-blowing, outspoken cohort rather than a silent society—led by Baiji, Ratna Pathak Shah, the bidi-smoking mother-in-law of Mukhi. Mukhi’s bond with Baiji is warm and playful, and they lend each other strength. Their dynamic sits at the heart of the changing world around them, where the lines between duty and dream begin to blur. Dharmesh’s son, Avinash, Darsheel Safary, harbors anger toward his father and longs to see his mother stand up to the old order.

One day, during a casual ice-cream run, Mukhi encounters Mamta and realizes his attraction to her, a revelation that ripples through the tight circles of family and village life. The rumor mill heats up as the affair becomes a topic of conversation among the women, stirring a mix of judgment, desire, and a longing for something more. Baiji decides to teach him a lesson, while Monghi remains determined to hold her family together, numb with sadness yet pressing forward for the sake of her marriage.

Monghi’s world broadens when she meets Madan, Viraf Patel, an international artist who encourages her to find herself beyond the boundaries she has accepted. Dharmesh’s jealousy surfaces, and Monghi sees this spark as a potential door to salvaging their relationship. Yet the truth of Mamta’s past complicates the tension: Mamta is revealed to be Avinash’s ex-girlfriend, which only deepens Dharmesh’s resolve to pursue the affair.

In a bold move, Monghi buys tickets for herself and Dharmesh to travel to Mumbai, proposing a chance to change and renew their bond. Dharmesh resists, choosing to continue his life with Mamta rather than rebuild with Monghi. The revelations push Mukhi and Avinash to confront the reality of their own loveless marriages. Baiji and Avinash help Mukhi recognize that her own life has been constrained by a quiet oppression, and she decides to pursue her own dreams through divorce from Dharmesh.

With Dharmesh relieved in one sense and still seeking connection in another, he extends a hand of friendship to Mukhi, signaling a fragile reconciliation on the surface but an opening of new possibilities beneath. In the closing moments, Madan, Avinash, and the women of sisoty encourage Monghi and Baiji to venture to Mumbai, a city of opportunity where they can pursue their true aspirations. The film ends on a note of hopeful departure, suggesting that personal growth and companionship can emerge even from deeply entrenched conventions.
