In a small village, a long-standing feud between the Chalasi Rayudu and Neelakantam families casts a heavy shadow over two generations, setting the stage for a saga of loyalty, pride, and hidden bonds. The two heirs, Surya Prakash (SP) and Bhavani, carry the weight of their fathers’ enmities, and their rivalry escalates after a courtroom victory gives SP control of the family property while Bhavani longs to see him fall. SP is a lifelong bachelor who loathes the idea of love and the complications it brings, yet he secretly sponsors a girl named Sandhya from across the street—though she remains unaware of his quiet protection.

Into this tense world steps Bhama, a bright, outspoken new student at the women’s hostel, who falls hard for SP at first sight. Her bold attempts to win his affection bring light and mischief in equal measure, but SP remains distant, chasing a different kind of future. Meanwhile, Srikumar, the charming son of SP’s maternal uncle Seetaramaiah and a perpetual merry-maker, glides through life with a carefree swagger. SP, hoping to curb this wayward energy, asks his uncle to help reform Sri, bringing Sri and his loyal sidekick Errababu to live with SP. Sri’s initial reluctance softens when he is drawn to Sandhya, who he truly loves, and Bhama and Sri form a surprising alliance to support each other’s happiness.

A pivotal turn comes when Bhama discovers that SP is Sandhya’s sponsor, and she confronts him with the truth. SP reveals a shocking claim: Sandhya is his half-sister. This revelation unsettles everyone and begins to unravel the delicate web of relationships that has been built around Sandhya and SP. The story then travels back twenty years to uncover the original wounds that shattered the Rayudu household.

Two decades ago, Rayudu served as a village arbitrator and secretly married Ramalakshmi, fathering two children, Shekar and Sandhya. Neelakantam uses this secret to craft a humiliating scandal that would ruin Rayudu’s name. Ramalakshmi, in a bid to shield Rayudu, lies that he is not Sandhya and Shekar’s father, prompting Sekhar to abandon his home and drift into a life of turmoil. Amidst these revelations, SP and Bhavani’s romance begins to bloom, and SP’s sister Lakshmi and Bhavani’s cousin Vishnu fall in love as well. Neelakantam’s manipulations culminate in Vishnu’s murder, which is used to indict Rayudu and drive him to take his own life. Neelakantam then seizes control of the family’s property, weaving a cruel tapestry in which SP becomes a pawn.

The past’s cruelty hardens SP, pushing him to vow that he will never again be swayed by a woman. He even attempts to rebuild his stepmother’s weakened family, but the strain between them only deepens, and he withdraws, choosing to keep an eye on Sandhya from afar.

Bhama, moved by SP’s struggle, resolves to help him. She arranges for Sandhya to come closer to SP, presenting her as SP’s ward and staging a birthday to bridge the distance between them. Yet the truth comes crashing down: Bhama is revealed to be Bhavani’s sister, who despises SP for entrapping her sister in a past rivalry. She forcibly pulls Bhama back, but Sri intervenes and helps her escape. With the veil lifted, SP recognizes Sri and Sandhya’s love as genuine, and he resolves to see them wed, despite Sandhya’s status as an orphan and her guardians’ initial misgivings.

The engagement is interrupted by a dramatic entrance from Neelakantam and SP’s elder brother Shekar, who bear a striking resemblance to their father. Shekar forcibly takes Sandhya away to expedite a match with Bhavani’s brother Ravindra, unaware of Neelakantam’s deceit and his own deep-seated hatred for SP. SP makes a daring vow to unite Sri and Sandhya and to dismantle those who stand in the way of their happiness.

On the wedding day, a heated confrontation erupts among the siblings before Sandhya speaks with quiet resolve, declaring that she cares for both sides. SP then reveals the true diabolic nature of Neelakantam and defends his father’s honor, prompting Shekar to realize how he has been manipulated. Neelakantam is forced to confess to Vishnu’s murder, and Bhavani confronts the painful truth that her battles with SP were driven by her father’s sins. In a moment of desperation, Bhavani attempts suicide but is saved by SP, and the two finally find a path back to each other. The film closes on a hopeful note, with SP and Bhavani reuniting as their families heal and the cycle of vengeance gives way to a lasting, if uneasy, peace.
