This documentary explores the enigmatic life of Kmêdeus (EatGod), a homeless eccentric who lived on the island of São Vicente, Cabo Verde. Perceived by some as a lunatic and by others as an artist, he remains a compelling mystery. Contemporary dancer António Tavares created a remarkable performance piece inspired by Kmêdeus's life and inner world, taking viewers on a journey through his hometown of Mindelo, showcasing the island’s vibrant music, films, and annual carnival. The film, a collaboration by the Cape Verdean film collective Negrume, delves into the roots of one of the oldest Creole communities.
