Edwin, in a bid to keep control, ensnares a female hippie clown and uses a magic clown car to rapidly loop around the field, an act that ends in a brutal car mishap. Around a crackling fire that night, Butzer Pie shares the legend of Edwin the Clown and his failed attempts to qualify as a true circus performer fifteen years earlier, a backstory that foreshadows the killer’s relentless pursuit of a perfect act. On the camp’s final day, Edwin seizes one last chance to succeed on stage; he enlists another student to join him, only to have the act ruined when a phone rings and someone answers, sabotaging the act. Edwin reveals himself in a terrifying moment, stabbing the stern instructor in the face and escalating the camp’s chaos. Edwin then captures Bonzo’s former mentor figure and, after a shocking turn, hangs Bonzo himself in his own bathroom, using a trick of prescription medicines to stage the suicide.

Philbert and Valerie grow closer as they comfort one another, and the couple’s bond is tested by Edwin’s sinister games; Valerie’s past comes roaring back as she revisits a memory of self-defense and a murder committed to protect herself. Edwin’s rampage continues with Brandi’s fate sealed in a private room, and Tipsy’s shocking discovery of Valeria’s decapitated friend follows as Edwin’s spree intensifies, culminating in a brutal, off-screen death that leaves the group reeling.

Amid a chaotic display of Seltzer sprays and a deadly prank, Edwin — still unseen by most of the group — doubles down on his plan and tears through the remaining campers.
