Thirusherry Madhavan Vaidyar Thilakan is a respected Ayurvedic practitioner in a small village, where tradition and healing are deeply intertwined. He oversees a simple, tightly knit household with two sons: Unnikrishnan Siddique, who is studying MBBS, and Kunjikrishnan Sreenivasan, who has not studied beyond the eighth standard. The balance of the family is tested when a grave mistake rocks their world and threatens the village’s trust in medicine and virtue.

When Kunjikrishnan gives a patient the wrong medicine, a tragedy unfolds and Vaidyar’s calm authority is juxtaposed with the kin of the victim’s vow to seek retribution. This incident casts a shadow over the family’s practice and puts the brothers’ futures in jeopardy, casting doubt on the line between rightful healing and careless harm. Amid the turbulence, another thread of life pulls at the family: Indu, [Devayani], whom Kunjikrishnan secretly loves, finds herself desired by Unnikrishnan, and a promise of marriage seems to bind the brothers to different futures. Indu’s heart, however, aligns with Unnikrishnan, leading to an engagement that heightens the stakes for everyone involved.

Hearing of the budding alliance, Kunjikrishnan leaves the village and returns wearing a guise of sanctity as a fraudulent holy man named Thirumeni. He is accompanied by his sharp-witted assistant, Chacko [Jagathy Sreekumar], whose reputation as a fraudster fuels a dangerous ruse. Together they manipulate villagers with counterfeit miracles and medicines that blend ordinary pills with ayurvedic ingredients—obtained through bribes to doctors—and their schemes threaten to ruin the genuine practice that once defined the family’s name. The manipulative duo’s success relies on fear, charm, and a calculated illusion of healing, casting a pall over the community and pitting tradition against deception.

Sivashankaran Nair, Indu’s father [Janardhanan], becomes a central figure as he pushes for a marriage between Indu and Kunjikrishnan, hoping to cement a union that could control what he sees as disruptions to their lineage. The tension intensifies as Unnikrishnan and Indu decide to counter the fraud by staging a bold prank: they convince the village that Indu has lost her sanity, hoping to expose Kunjikrishnan and Chacko’s manipulations and undermine their hold over the community. The staged insanity sets off a cascade of attempted cures and social scrutiny, drawing in the local authorities.

In the climactic turn, Sub Inspector Dharmarajan Kutty Pilla steps in, arresting Chacko and delivering a firm warning to Kunjikrishnan to sever ties with fraudsters. The case exposes the thin line between healing and harm, trust and deceit, and the resilience of genuine family bonds. With the truth gradually restored, Unnikrishnan and Indu’s marriage marks a hopeful close to a story of prestige, ambition, and redemption, where love prevails over deception and the rightful path of healing asserts itself once more.
