Ah Fatt [Chapman To Man-Chat] sells yong tofu while raising his daughter, Sassy Bai [Venus Wong], content with his simple life, though concerned about Sassy’s romantic prospects. He encourages Sassy to give their neighbor, Wayne Yang [Adrian Tan], a teacher who is besotted with Sassy, a chance.

Wong Tin-ba [Mark Lee] has spent years traveling and challenging Mahjong masters, earning titles as he goes, with his gaze set on the ultimate prize: the title of World Mahjong Master. The moment arrives when he stands at Fatt’s doorstep to issue the final challenge. Unbeknownst to Fatt’s family, Tin-ba was once a disciple of Master Ru, [Eric Tsang Chi-Wai], who at the time was known as Zhang Shun-You.

To coerce Fatt into competing, Tin-ba abducts Ramona [Michelle Ye Xuan], who has recently returned with amnesia, explaining why she left when Sassy was a child. This shocking development forces Fatt to enter the tournament in hopes of bringing his family back together.

Fatt enters the tournament and, in the final match against Tin-ba, reveals that he knows Master Ru’s secret winning move, a revelation that blends skill with a deep, untold legacy behind the legendary crown.

In the end, Tin-ba confronts the personal cost of his obsessive pursuit of the crown. The climactic confrontation gives way to reconciliation, as Fatt, Ramona, and Sassy are reunited and their family begins to heal.
