King of Burlesque 1936

Warner Baxter is an ambitious producer who lifts a modest burlesque act to Broadway fame. Loyal singer Alice Faye backs him, but his sudden success lures society woman Mona Barrie, who drags him into a string of artistic flops. After a haughty divorce leaves him broke, Baxter reunites with Alice and, with his burlesque troupe, stages a triumphant comeback.
