During the summer holidays, young Mísa Horák secretly rescues a menagerie from his school’s “Corner of Living Nature”—two Angora rabbits, a starling, a little monkey, a tortoise and even a small crocodile. When his parents demand the creatures be taken away, his friend Káta offers to shelter them in the child’s room of her family’s flat. Mísa departs for a friend’s house, hoping the animals will stay, while Káta runs errands. Meanwhile, Káta’s younger sister Minka awakens, begins to play with the pets, and the assorted creatures gradually scatter in chaos.
