The film opens with Raghu spiraling into violence as he confronts his father over perceived neglect, a moment that triggers a surprising discovery: an ancestral property in Kasi, leased nearly a century ago. At the same time, an IT raid erupts inside a minister’s home, and the minister passes his laptop containing property details to his auditor, who demands five crores to release it. In Kasi, the family property is managed by Seenu, a man whose own business has fallen on hard times, and while his stewardship once kept things afloat, it no longer does. It becomes clear that both Raghu and [Seenu] have been misled by Ganesh, who cheated them out of their money. The two decide to seek Ganesh in Karaikudi to recover what they’re owed.

In Karaikudi, Ganesh and his two associates reveal a bigger plan: to swindle a billionaire in order to obtain valuable diamonds. They promise to return the money if their scheme succeeds, and they carry out their plan swiftly, securing the diamonds overnight and preparing to disappear together. But their path to escape is complicated when Ganesh spots Raghu, now with his girlfriend Maya, and realizes that Raghu and [Seenu] could stand in the way of his revenge.

A tense chase ensues as Raghu and [Seenu] pursue Ganesh across a landscape of pursuit and counter-move. The loot lies hidden inside a tusk cover and ends up placed on a train at the railway station, turning the pursuit into a race against time. The climactic question becomes whether Raghu and [Seenu] can recover their money while also ensuring the minister can reclaim his laptop. The film threads these goals through a sequence of capers, close calls, and moments of humor, keeping the audience engaged as the truth behind the laptop, the property in Kasi, and Ganesh’s ambitions slowly unravels.

As the story unfolds, a broad spectrum of characters—such as Vettupuli, Madhavi, and Dharmarajan—dot the landscape, adding texture and moving the chase, politics, and personal loyalties forward. These threads infuse the narrative with momentum and humor, while the core confrontation over money, property, and diamonds keeps the plot taut toward its conclusion.
