Kabayan Becomes a Billionaire 2010

In a tranquil West Java village, a modest boarding school is led by the wise Ustadz Sholeh, Slamet Rahardjo. The arrival of a real estate entrepreneur Boss Rocky, Christian Sugiono, who plans to buy the land and turn the site into a resort, unsettles the close-knit community.

Kabayan, [Jamie Aditya], the steadfast right-hand man of Ustadz Sholeh, and his loyal ally Armasan, [Aming Sugandhi], stand firm against the intrusion, determined to defend their home and way of life. Boss Rocky eyes the village with calculated interest, while Kabayan’s presence catches the eye of Iteung, [Rianti Cartwright], his charming accountant.

Boss Rocky spurs a plan to undermine Kabayan by enlisting Iteung to spy on him and coax him into signing the land purchase contract. The scheming also involves false promises to preserve the village and to build a mosque in the family name, convincing Iteung’s parents to back the deal.

Kabayan unknowingly signs the contract, mistaking it for a marriage certificate between him and Iteung. As the dream of a peaceful future wavers, Ustadz Sholeh learns that the property now belongs to Boss Rocky. Determined to reclaim his home and win Iteung’s heart, Kabayan heads to Jakarta.

There he discovers that Iteung’s parents have promised her to Boss Rocky, believing his plans include building a mosque in their name. They set Kabayan a stark challenge: win Iteung’s hand and secure 1 billion Rupiah within one week.
