Jwanita [Maya Karin] is a woman who endures severe mental illness and physical abuse at the hands of Ibu / Dukun and her adopted father, both practitioners of black magic. After a tragic event leaves her guardians dead, she is taken in by Farhan [Bront Palarae], a compassionate figure who provides care and a fragile sense of safety. Yet their peace is shattered when her beloved Farhan becomes the fiancé of her younger sister, Julyka Cristina Suzanne Stockstill, a sister she had been separated from since childhood. After disappearing on the wedding day, Jwanita reappears with a markedly altered demeanor, hinting at a darker resolve.
Jwanita begins to taunt Farhan, weaving manipulation and flirtation to sow doubt and tempt him away from Julyka, while sowing discord among his followers. Nona [Marsha Milan Londoh], the maid, is warned not to interfere after witnessing Jwanita’s worship, but the warning comes too late: before Nona can inform her employer about Jwanita’s strange behavior, she is killed. Jwanita then manipulates the household further, even influencing Miss Mary’s body, as Nona’s actions ripple through Farhan’s staff and culminate in tragedy for two of his employees, all aimed at unsettling Julyka’s life.
With mounting distrust, Julyka resolves to shield the children from what she suspects is a lingering danger in the house. She discovers a hidden place of worship in a warehouse, a discovery that inflames Jwanita’s rage when the family returns. Enraged by the intrusion, Jwanita chases Julyka and the children, determined to kill them along with the cult’s rites. Dr Farhan confronts Jwanita in a bid to stop the carnage and to protect the children, but the struggle leaves both of them seriously wounded in the warehouse fire, a blaze that consumes them both.
In the end, Farhan and Jwanita perish together in the flames, while Julyka and her children survive, able to pull each other from the wreckage and begin rebuilding after the harrowing ordeal.
