The film opens with Bhavani seeking forgiveness from Father Martin Luther King at church. In the town of Meignanapuram, Thangasamy, along with his daughter Chellamma and granddaughters Bhavani, Shivani, and Yazhini, runs the family-owned Vellaikkaran Biriyani Hotel. Unfortunately, the business suffers a downturn due to a newly constructed bypass road that detours potential customers away. In a desperate effort to keep the hotel afloat, the family resorts to borrowing money from Rocket Ravi, their moneylender.

When they receive a large order from Tenkasi MLA Adaikalaraj for a feast catering worth ₹2 lakhs, they begin preparations without receiving any advance payment, hopeful for a turnaround. However, their hopes are crushed when they face humiliation and violence upon demanding their payment, leading to Thangasamy being beaten and subsequently hospitalized, requiring an expensive surgery that costs a staggering ₹25 lakhs. In a bind, Bhavani appeals to Rocket Ravi for financial help.

Simultaneously, Lawyer Poongundran enters the scene, taking on a case against MLA Adaikalaraj, who is accused of defrauding 28 families by misusing their signatures to pocket medical insurance money. Among the victims is Sandhya, a talented puppetry artist, who bravely stands up against the scams but tragically ends up being murdered, with Reporter Kanniga as the sole witness to this heinous act. Despite the evidence against him, Adaikalaraj evades charges related to both the money scam and the murder.

As the election season approaches, Poongundran intercepts ₹10 crore intended for bribing voters and cleverly opens a joint account with Kanniga at UBC Bank in Kodaikanal. He also takes initiative to help Sandhya’s family by providing them a place to stay in his mansion. However, angered by these actions, Adaikalaraj hires a contract killer named Pottu Bhavani to eliminate Poongundran. In a twist of fate, an unfortunate mix-up results in the payment meant for the hit being sent to Bhavani, who then uses it to cover her grandfather’s medical expenses.

With Adaikalaraj’s men demanding the return of the ₹25 lakhs, Bhavani and her family find themselves in dire straits. Thangasamy suggests that Bhavani seek out Poongundran, who is currently in Theni. However, upon their arrival, they discover that he has fallen victim to poisoning, orchestrated by none other than Pottu Bhavani.

Now with a corpse on their hands, the women find themselves in a predicament, as they left their contact details and fingerprints at the hotel. They swiftly disguise Poongundran’s body as a drunkard and ingeniously maneuver their way out of the hotel. With help from Bhavani’s uncle, Murugesan “Mappumama”, they attempt to rid themselves of the body but inadvertently cause chaos at a public gathering, leading to a riot.

During the turmoil, Inspector Idithangi attempts to control the situation but accidentally assaults Poongundran’s lifeless body, resulting in the incident going viral and causing a public outcry. This backlash prompts the Chief Minister to act against Adaikalaraj, removing him from his Health Minister position.

Returning home, Mappumama, still unaware of Poongundran’s demise, brings the corpse back to Bhavani’s family. With a new plan brewing, they initially intend to dispose of the body into a cliff, but a phone call from Kesavan Kutty requesting the withdrawal of ₹10 crore shifts their focus.

The family concocts a scheme to manipulate the corpse by using an artificial limb crafted by Shivani, a skilled robotics engineer, while Bhavani provides the voice for the body and Yazhini masters the art of faking Poongundran’s signature. They face numerous challenges, including confrontations with Pottu Bhavani, who speaks Telugu, and an encounter with Inspector Idithangi, yet they manage to transport the body to Kodaikanal.

At the bank, Kesavan Kutty insists on a signature from Kanniga, who arrives and confronts Bhavani, revealing her awareness of the ₹10 crore. Miraculously, Kanniga decides to join forces with Bhavani, and together they set out to withdraw the funds.

However, they now find themselves pursued by Adaikalaraj, Pottu Bhavani, Inspector Idithangi, and their henchmen. Trapped in Poongundran’s mansion, the four women cleverly create a distraction, staging a scene where the corpse seems to defend them against their attackers. Kesavan Kutty, witnessing the commotion, mistakenly believes Adaikalaraj has murdered Poongundran and, coerced by this impression, agrees to release the funds.

Following the successful withdrawal, the family is finally able to give Poongundran a proper burial and find solace in fulfilling his last wishes. The film wraps up with Bhavani returning to the church, seeking forgiveness for her family’s unconventional use of Poongundran’s corpse to navigate their troubles.
