JK, a man in his mid-20s, Sharwanand, is introduced as someone who seems detached from family life, more at home chatting on Facebook, partying, and hanging out with his friends than building lasting ties at home.

Two years later, he is a transformed person—deeply invested in developing, earning money, and taking care of his family. He starts dreaming big, crafting business models aimed at quick, substantial profits. His new priorities include arranging marriages for his two sisters and ensuring his brother gets a solid education. In a chance encounter, he and a friend visit a bank manager at his home; while they wait, they notice the apartment block is poorly maintained and quietly decide to tidy up the house. The manager notices their effort and suggests they could offer cleaning services regularly to the residents, including about 150 other flats in the complex. This becomes JK’s first business venture.

To make it work, he brings in his school friend Nithya Menen, and together with their group, JK and Nithya lead a growing team that handles multiple projects. The venture flourishes, and the pair leverage their energy and organization to turn cleaning into a seemingly steady stream of work, expanding their reach and laying the foundation for a small empire built on practical, hands-on service.

The turning point comes from a personal, human tragedy. When JK and his friends are planning to head out for a New Year party, their friend Ravi—who hails from a very poor background and supports his family—joins the group and becomes part of the close circle. After the party, the group is involved in an accident that claims Ravi’s life and leaves JK with a serious head injury. The accident reveals a cruel truth: JK has only a couple of years left in his life. This revelation shifts his perspective entirely, as he privately resolves to make his family’s future secure before his time runs out.

With this new urgency, JK decides to shield his loved ones from hardship and focuses on ensuring they are financially stable. He keeps this plan close, entrusting the heavier burdens to one trusted ally, and he does not reveal the full scope of his looming illness to most of his circle—only Nithya is told. In the end, JK steps back from day-to-day business and travels to the USA, where his illness will likely claim him. Nithya Menen carries on the family business, keeping JK’s memory alive as she runs operations and cherishes the time they spent together.
