Prasad [Suhas] is a diligent middle-class salesman for a washing-machine company. He lives with his wife Lekha [Sangeerthana Vipin], his parents, and his grandmother, and he is keenly aware of the financial constraints that have shaped his life—especially because of his father’s past decisions. This awareness fuels a core belief: one should only become a parent when they can provide the very best for their child, including quality education, healthcare, and overall well-being. This outlook isn’t just personal; it’s tested by what he sees around him and the example set by a friend’s struggles.

Seeing his friend Kishore, a struggling lawyer who finds it hard to raise his own children on limited resources, reinforces his plan to delay parenthood. Consequently, Prasad and Lekha mutually decide to postpone having a child, choosing contraception to prevent an unplanned pregnancy.

But their plans are upended when Lekha discovers she is pregnant, despite their precautions. Prasad immediately attributes this to a defective condom and decides to file a lawsuit against the condom manufacturer, seeking compensation for what he sees as a disruption to his carefully laid life.

The case moves into a consumer court, with Kishore representing Prasad, bringing a mix of inexperience and earnest resolve that adds both humor and sincerity to the proceedings. The courtroom drama is overseen by Judge Dharma Rao [Rajendra Prasad], while the defense is led by Advocate Ajay Sharma [Murali Sharma].

As the trial unfolds, the proceedings become more than a legal battle; they turn into a lens on societal pressures and the complexities of modern parenthood. Prasad is confronted with a variety of viewpoints that challenge his rigid beliefs about planning and responsibility, urging him to consider other paths and possibilities.

He begins to recognize that life cannot be perfectly orchestrated and that embracing unforeseen circumstances can lead to growth, resilience, and unexpected joy. This evolving perspective gradually shifts his priorities, nudging him toward a more flexible understanding of family and happiness.

In the end, Prasad withdraws the lawsuit, makes peace with his family, and faces the imminent arrival of his child with renewed optimism and a deeper sense of shared purpose.
