Implanted Echo Score Breakdown

Implanted struggles to coalesce its ambitions with execution, resulting in a film that feels uneven across most dimensions. While the visual composition receives occasional praise for its color grading and art direction, the narrative is broadly criticized for lack of originality, slow pacing, and numerous plot holes. Acting shows isolated highlights, yet overall character engagement remains weak. The cumulative effect is a movie that offers limited appeal on repeat viewings and fails to deliver a compelling sensory or storytelling experience.

Our own 0–100 rating, built from five aspects: art, character, story, the sensory experience and how well a film rewatches.

  • Art & Craft 50

The film’s visual presentation garners mixed feedback. Several reviewers commend the photography, color grading, and overall art direction for creating an intriguing glitchy aesthetic. However, other comments imply a low‑budget feel and a B‑movie aesthetic that diminishes the impact of the production design. In sum, the artistic elements are competent but not consistently impressive, placing this aspect near the midpoint of the scale.

  • Character & Emotion 45

Acting receives both commendation and criticism. Michelle Girolami is highlighted for a performance that exceeds expectations, and some viewers note that the lead carried the role effectively. Conversely, many users describe the performances as dull, ungripping, and reminiscent of lower‑quality productions. The disparity in perception results in a moderately low score that reflects an overall uneven character portrayal.

  • Story & Flow 30

Narrative elements are largely viewed as derivative and poorly paced. Reviewers repeatedly cite a lack of originality, numerous plot holes, and a sluggish, boring progression that fails to sustain interest. While a few acknowledge an interesting core concept, the execution is deemed insufficient, leading to a low assessment of plot coherence and engagement.

  • Sensory Experience 60

Sensory components receive more favorable remarks than other aspects. The film’s visual style, including color grading and production design, is praised for its distinct, glitch‑infused look. Sound design receives minimal comment, though occasional remarks about an annoying voice suggest minor issues. Overall, the sensory experience is considered the strongest facet, earning a modestly high score.

  • Rewatch Factor 35

Rewatch potential is generally dismissed by the audience. Numerous reviewers label the film as boring, wasteful of time, and unlikely to merit a second viewing. A small subset of viewers enjoyed the experience enough to recommend it, yet this enthusiasm is outweighed by the predominance of negative sentiment, resulting in a low replay value rating.
