Liam’s behavior becomes increasingly disturbing as the teddy bear, Chauncey, appears to come to life—pulling on a string that makes a haunting tune, then transforming into a monstrous version of himself, terrifying Liam and Jessica alike.

The situation worsens when Alice suddenly disappears, and Jessica, along with Taylor, ventures into the streets searching for her. During their search, Taylor learns horrifying truths from Gloria—who reveals that her own childhood had similar experiences with her imaginary friend, Chauncey, which led her father to madness and injury. As Jessica uncovers a drawing of a place called the “Never Ever,” a dark world born from children’s imaginations, she realizes they must confront their pasts head-on to save Alice.

The trio gathers items from Jessica’s childhood and begins the dangerous ritual to open the door to the “Never Ever,” a liminal space where their fears and memories are amplified. Jessica sacrifices her hand with scissors to activate the ritual, channeling her pain to unlock the world inside the imaginary realm. Inside, they confront a horrifying version of the house from Jessica’s childhood, where Ben’s last stand against Chauncey took place, and encounter visions of her past and her father’s madness—guilt and trauma intertwined.

In the depths of the “Never Ever,” they find Alice, dressed as a princess, in a room resembling Jessica’s old apartment. Jessica and Taylor must convince Alice that her surroundings are illusions and that it’s safe to leave. As they prepare to escape, Chauncey, now in his monstrous spider form, manifests with murderous intent. Jessica fights to protect her daughters, stabbing him in the eye to free herself. As they escape through a door, the creature’s fury results in a fiery chaos that consumes the house, sealing Chauncey’s evil behind flames and smoke.

In the aftermath, Jessica, Taylor, and Alice attempt to move on, checking into a hotel. However, they notice a teddy bear peeking out behind a chair—belonging to another child with an imaginary friend named Rufus—indicating that Chauncey’s influence may not be completely gone.
