The couple’s fragile harmony fractures when a painful scene unfolds. He is evicted from his home and ends up on the street, disoriented and aching with a new, cruel kind of loneliness. It is in this bleak moment that Mami, a kind middle-aged woman, and her daughter Chombi (Chombi is portrayed by Zaiton) give him shelter and a sense of belonging again. They become a buoy in his storm, and their quiet kindness helps him find purpose once more. With their encouragement, Kassim reclaims his true gift: the saxophone. He reinvents himself under the stage name Osman Jailani, and the sound of his music begins to lift him from the gutter and carry him toward the bright lights of a touring career.

Osman Jailani’s rise takes him across Malaya, from Penang to Taiping, Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, Seremban, Malacca, Muar, Batu Pahat, and Johor Bahru, before he even reaches Singapore. The road is long and filled with crowded venues, loyal fans, and the renewed sense that music can heal some of the wounds left by years of struggle. When he finally returns to the city where it all began, Sabariah and Dr. Ismadi attend his performance, a reminder of how far he has come and how deeply their lives remain linked to his art.

Ismadi, the man Sabariah married, steps into an almost mythical role in the story: he offers Kassim a medical gift that could restore his sight—an act that embodies mercy, forgiveness, and the possibility of reconciliation. The operation is a success, and for a moment, the world seems poised to bring Sabariah, Kassim, and Ismadi back into a shared circle of hope. Yet the truth—a look-alike Sabariah instead of the one who once shared Kassim’s life—casts a new shade over the reunion. Kassim confronts the reality that the woman before him is not the Sabariah he loved, and the dramatic weight of deception finally lands on the heart of their intertwined destinies.
