The premise of I Protect Myself Against My Enemies without spoilers.

A former major of the disbanded Confederate army hands a lone cowboy, Alan Burton, a silver dollar and reveals that two other dollars bearing different numbers exist. When the three numbers are combined they pinpoint the location of the hidden Confederate treasure. Pursued by a ruthless gang leader, Alan and his sidekick Hondo become entangled in a dangerous quest to recover the fortune.
