She is a 33‑year‑old fashion marketing director at a home‑shopping channel, whose career has forced her to build a tough, prickly exterior and give up on love after a series of failed relationships. A 26‑year‑old carefree songwriter returns home after seventeen years abroad; he was raised by his mother’s friend and the director’s mother, and she only remembers him as the child she was made to watch while her mother worked.
