Aurore Tabort is fifty, separated from her husband Nanar, and raising two grown daughters. She works at a restaurant that’s under new management led by an abrasive boss, and she begins to feel the weight of menopause pressing in on her daily routine. While pretending to view an apartment that her friend Marie-Noelle, known as Mano, is selling, she unexpectedly reconnects with an old flame and her former husband’s best friend, Christophe, reigniting a complicated spark from years past.

Her eldest daughter, Marina, reveals that she is pregnant, a development that fills Aurore with mixed emotions. She worries that Marina might be making a riskier move than she did, and this new reality strains their relationship at first. To see Christophe again, Aurore arranges for Marina to have her first scans at the hospital where he works, a choice that sparks a heated argument but soon slides back into a fragile reconciliation as the two navigate renewal and distance. In the wake of these changes, Aurore temporarily steps away from Christophe and instead begins seeing Hervé, whom she met at a party hosted by Mano, finding a new rhythm in her days while still contemplating what she truly wants. After some time at the job centre, Aurore lands a new role as a cleaner for a small group of four retired women, a job that gives her a steadier routine and a different kind of purpose.

At a high school reunion, a classmate assumes that Aurore and Christophe are a long-term couple, surprised to learn that she has instead married Nanar. Marina comes to stay with Aurore for a while, and Lucie returns from Barcelona after breaking up with her boyfriend, bringing more shifting loyalties and emotions into the home. Hervé invites Aurore on a romantic getaway to Venice, a tempting prospect that she hesitates to pursue, still holding a strong memory of Christophe. As she drives away, she spots Christophe heading toward her house, stepping out of a car, and the moment leads to an emotional reunion between them. In the closing scene, Marina welcomes her first child, making Aurore a grandmother at last and closing a circle that blends past attachments with new responsibilities and the stubborn, hopeful resilience of midlife.
