In Nazi Germany during World War II, David March (Robert Goulet) is an American traitor who has been granted broad travel access within the country. Unbeknownst to the German authorities, he is actually a spy for the Americans and the last surviving member of a covert ring known as Blue Light. As he climbs higher within the Nazi intelligence system, he stays under the wary eye of a Gestapo officer, Captain Elm (Werner Peters) who suspects him at every turn.
During his mission, March meets Suzanne Duchard (Christine Carère), a French agent, and their relationship quickly grows into a charged romance. Duchard agrees to help March, drawn by a shared sense of purpose and mutual distrust of their Nazi hosts.
