Two best friends, Johanna Julia Föry and Jeanne Jeanne Moynot, grow up in Decazeville, a small mining town in France, where the community gathers for the yearly Miners’ Ball and the voices of youth drift through the air. The two girls sing with a local group called The Sirens, turning their shared love for harmony into something bright and undeniable for everyone who hears them.

In a spontaneous moment, a new friend of Johanna, Luc Aurélien Deseez, happens upon their duet and is stunned by the pair’s raw talent. This chance encounter becomes the spark that pushes them toward something bigger: they begin practicing and recording in a studio, guided by Luc and an arranger named Jasper. The project starts taking shape as they lay down a tape with a few songs, a tangible promise of what their voices could become beyond the dusty confines of their town.

As the music project grows, Jeanne’s co-worker, Sophie Demeyer, joins the operation as Jasper’s assistant, bringing fresh energy and a new dynamic to the unfolding plans.
