What Is Here, a Shining Light About?
The premise of Here, a Shining Light without spoilers.
Ghodrat, a simple disabled boy, lives with the shrine’s watchman. When the watchman departs, Ghodrat assumes caretaking duties, aided by his gift of communicating with the spirits in the shrine’s garden. He exhausts the shrine’s belongings and money to help villagers who have lost faith. One night, a shepherdess loses her sheep; Ghodrat holds a light through the darkness until the flock returns to the shrine. At dawn he boards a train, leaving the village in search of the shrine’s master.
