Angélique, a successful art student who moonlights at a cafe and housesits for a wealthy family, starts a forbidden romance with Dr. Loïc Le Garrec, who is married. The couple’s affair coincides with a painful turning point in Loïc’s life: his wife Rachel suffers a miscarriage, and the couple briefly splits as Angélique fantasizes about a romantic escape to Florence.
