The film follows two aging friends, Satrajeet aka Jeet Parambrata Chatterjee and Rajarshi aka Raj Rudranil Ghosh, who unexpectedly reconnect after years as their lives drift in different directions. Jeet sits at the head of a thriving architect firm, a position he inherited from his late father-in-law, while Raj toils as a struggling singer in a band. Their reunion kicks off at a party hosted by a non-Bengali business client, where Raj can’t help but flirt with the client’s daughter, Inka Neha Panda. After the party, the two friends leave the venue and continue their conversations over drinks pulled from closed shops, each secretly wishing for a life more like the other’s.

That wish becomes reality in a startling way: their souls exchange bodies during the night, leaving them to wake up in someone else’s skin and suddenly face the consequences of living a completely different life. The shock is tempered by curiosity, and both men try to navigate the new loyalties and responsibilities that come with the swapped roles. Raj (in Jeet’s body) travels to Chandannagar, the town where Jeet’s parents live, revisiting a past he left behind in pursuit of musical dreams. Meanwhile, Jeet (in Raj’s body) goes to his own home to see his child, confronting a different family dynamic and the daily rhythms of a life he hadn’t fully understood.

As the days unfold, the two adapt in sometimes funny, sometimes poignant ways. Inka ends up staying with Raj (now in Jeet’s body) after a clash with her own parents, adding another layer of complication and emotion to their experiment in living someone else’s life. The body swap also brings out surprising competence in each man’s professional sphere: Raj, inhabiting Jeet’s persona, suggests a practical design twist for Indonesian clients—using terracotta in the bathroom instead of gold plates—while Jeet, inhabiting Raj’s body, pitches Inka as the lead singer for their band, a move that earns wide appreciation and validates the risk they took with their swapped reputations.

With time running out, the pair devises a plan to reverse the swap by retracing the exact actions that triggered it; when they finally execute the re-enactment, their original identities resume, restoring their respective lives. The closing scenes emphasize a gentle, reflective tone: Raj heads back to Chandannagar to reconnect with his parents, while Jeet embarks on a family trip, underscoring how their changes—temporary as they were—left a lasting imprint on how they see themselves and each other. The film sustains a warm, thoughtful mood throughout, balancing lighthearted moments with the deeper questions about identity, aspiration, and the ties that bind friendships across different paths in life.
