Guilty (2015): Cast, Box Office & Plot

During the night of March 15–16, 2008, a tragic event unfolds when Shruti Tandon, a 14-year-old girl, is discovered dead in her bedroom by her parents, Ramesh and Nutan Tandon, both of whom are physicians. Initially, local police suspect their missing domestic helper, Khempal, but soon his decomposed body is found on the terrace of their building. As the investigation unfolds, the police interrogate Kanhaiya, a friend of Khempal and an assistant at Ramesh’s clinic, who implies that there was an intimate relationship between Khempal and Shruti. Regrettably, relying on this testimony, the local police jump to conclusions and label the case a double homicide linked to honor, leading to the arrest of Ramesh on March 25. During a sensationalized press conference, the police publicly shame the deceased teenager.
