Guddu Rangeela 2015

Set in North India, Guddu and Rangeela are two cousins trying to make ends meet in a crime-infested city. By day they perform as orchestra singers, and by night they work as informants for local gangsters, gathering snippets about the city’s richest families to trade for small payoffs. This double life offers a precarious, mostly safe way to live without getting their hands dirty, but it gradually drags them deeper into the underworld they barely survive in.

Though bound by blood, the cousins are poles apart in temperament. The impulsive Guddu is hungry for a bigger score, eager to break out of the hand-to-mouth grind by pulling off larger heists. Rangeela, more self-righteous and grounded, prefers to stay on the right side of the law and clings to a moral vision that clashes with Guddu’s hunger for risk. Rangeela is also haunted by a past tragedy—the memory of Babli (Shriswara)—a wound he hasn’t fully moved past. His loyalty to doing what’s right stands in constant tension with Guddu’s reckless appetite for money and chance.

The duo’s world is shaped by an ongoing struggle against Billu Pahalwan, the gang lord turned politician who looms large over their lives. Their resistance is carried forward by Gupta, Gupta, an honest attorney who has spent years fighting their case and trying to keep them one step ahead of the danger that surrounds them.

Opportunity arrives in a bold, dangerous form when they kidnap Baby, Baby, hoping to secure an easy million and alter their fate. The plan pulls them directly into the orbit of Billu Pahalwan, forcing a clash with the very man who devastated Rangeela’s past and continues to menace their present. The kidnapping sets off a chaotic chain of events that tests their loyalties, nerves, and limits as they navigate a volatile landscape of trust, betrayal, and shifting alliances.

What follows is a turbulent journey of ambition and redemption, a high-stakes game where a single bold move can tip the balance between victory and defeat.
