Taylor, [Ashley Olsen], and Kylie Hunter, [Mary-Kate Olsen], are celebrating their 16th birthday and are licensed to drive. They plan a trip to Salt Lake City, Utah for the 2002 Winter Olympics with their friends. On the road, they stop at a local restaurant, their car is stolen, and next they board the wrong plane to San Diego. Determined to reach Utah in time for the Olympics, the teenagers take a coach from LA to Vegas, but they get separated at a gas station. Kylie and half of the gang make it to Vegas, where they end up taking part in a Vegas wedding, while Taylor and the other half of the group are stranded in a one-horse town.
