The malfunction isn’t random: it’s the result of a hack by Kurt Lee, RS-1’s designer who was previously fired. Kurt’s plan is to steal the robot with the help of rogue FBI agent Quincy, setting the stage for a high-stakes pursuit that will drag multiple players into its orbit.

When the team shifts to Hong Kong, the story widens its circle. Match and Alien go undercover as weapons dealers to track down Edison, a missing officer. Their ruse leads to a tense confrontation with a dealer and a room full of frightened victims. In a moment of confusion, Alien mistakes a victim for Edison, who is in fact tangled with the gang’s boss. As the truth emerges, the three cops discover that the gang has even stolen the Hong Kong police entry for the robot convention, forcing a rapid escalation that ends with the gang’s arrest.

On the day of the convention, Jane Quigley from the FBI attempts to test the security system, only to find it unreliable. A call from Kurt pulls Edison away to Jumbo Restaurant, where the hypnosis drug Kurt uses to ply his aims sinks its teeth into the plot: Edison is drugged, the robot is stolen again, and Dr. Cameron is killed as Kurt’s plan tightens its grip.

The revelation that Quincy was killed by Edison—and not by external enemies—complicates loyalties further. A series of confrontations follows: Ian battles Edison as he tries to escape, Jane is taken hostage, and the pursuit spirals into a chaotic chase with Match, Alien, and the FBI all chasing the outcome. Edison ultimately learns the truth about his complicity, and with Jane’s help, the investigation turns inward to illuminate a hidden memory trail. As the hunt continues, Edison, Alien, and the others close in on Kurt’s operation and bring him back to headquarters, where they are hailed as heroes even as doubt lingers about Edison’s innocence. With Oli, Oli, and Peggy, a tech-savvy ally who has a crush on Alien Peggy, the team uses memory-retrieval techniques to locate RS-1. The group collaborates to map out Kurt’s plan to sell RS-1 to an Arab terrorist network, and the pieces begin to align in a dangerous conspiracy involving Ross and the mysterious Quincy.

The final confrontation unfolds at the convention center, where Ian arrives just as Kurt is about to complete the sale. A violent clash erupts, Kurt escapes with RS-1, and the terrorist buyer is eliminated. Match reappears to back up Ian in a decisive showdown that ends with Ross’s betrayal coming to light and Kurt’s grip on RS-1 weakening. In a last-ditch gambit, Dr. Tang unleashes a virus designed to transfer from his own robot to RS-1. The upload triggers a devastating chain reaction that destroys Tang’s machine and cripples RS-1’s systems. Kurt meets his end as RS-1, now virus-filled, fires a final salvo and falls. With the virus activated, a self-destruct sequence follows, and Ian arrives by car to help the team pull RS-1 toward a harbor where it plunges into the water and explodes, ending the threat once and for all.
