On a small planet named Annwn that orbits Gaia, peace once united eight tribes known as Garms under the watch of a creator goddess, Danaan. When Danaan departs, old loyalties fracture into a long, brutal war that drains the planet’s atmosphere and nearly wipes out most of the tribes. Only three survive: the Briga, who hold ground supremacy with hybrid-powered tanks and cybernetic weaponry; the Kumtak, dwindling in number and forced to surrender advanced technology to their conquerors; and the Columba, who rule the skies from a fortified airship carrier. The Druids, the voices of Annwn’s gods, vanish from memory. The stage is set for a journey that promises answers about why the Garms were created and whether the gods ever intended to leave.
In Act 1, The Exile of the Three Magi, a Kumtak man, Wydd, is captured by the Columba. He is accompanied by a basset-hound-like sacred creature called a Gula and a mysterious figure named Nascien, the last of the missing Druids. During his interrogation aboard the Columba airship by Interrogator A, Wydd claims the Kumtak are enslaved and offers his services to fight their oppressors, even tapping into the Druidic power. After a Briga attack destroys the airship, Wydd reveals his true plan: to travel with Nascien to the lands of the Druids to learn why Danaan created the Garms and whether she ever intended to depart. He then persuades Khara, the Columba clone-soldier who questioned him, and Skellig, the Briga officer who led the assault, to join his quest and seek deeper truths beyond the battlefield.
In Act 2, Passage to the Other World, the caravan presses onward toward the Druids’ homeland. As the journey unfolds, the group discovers that their life-energy, or mana, is draining rapidly, a looming constraint for all three travelers. Despite the danger, they push ahead in a Briga tank through war-worn wastelands and seas. Khara begins to question the purpose and cost of the endless conflict, while Skellig remains focused on the mission, a contrast that hints at growing tensions within the group as their resources grow scarce.
The final act, Sacred Grove, sees the party reach the Druids’ sacred land, yet disaster strikes when the Briga tank breaks down. Skellig stays behind to repair it, allowing Wydd, Khara, and Nascien to press on. Inside the grove, Wydd accidentally triggers the Druids’ defense systems and awakens enormous robotic guardians. Skellig manages to fix the tank and buys time for his companions to escape, at the cost of his own life. At the source of the Druids’ knowledge, Nascien kills Wydd and unveils her plan: to seize control of the guardians and annihilate all the Garms. She then reveals the true name of the Gods, declaring that “They” are a jealous God, a revelation that shakes Khara to the core. Khara shoots Nascien, and sorrow eclipses her as she gazes up at clouds that reveal Gaia’s likeness to Earth, implying that Annwn was once the Moon and that the Gods and Danaan shaped humanity. The film closes on a cliffhanger: a rising, colossal robotic army called Malakh, and the united Garms turning from endless war to confront a common, towering threat, signaling a new era of brutal conflict on Annwn.
