What Is Gamblers’ Luck About?

In the bustling slums that would become Tokyo, a rag‑tag band of ne’er‑do‑well misfits revel in a series of wild escapades. They drown their nights in drink and prostitution, exact vengeance on ruthless landlords, and even animate a dead money‑lender to frighten the locals. Later they help arrange a beautiful girl’s wedding, risking their lives gambling to raise her dowry and barely escaping death in the process.
