What Is Freedom About?
The premise of Freedom without spoilers.
The stories of two men, separated by time, intertwine through their shared pursuit of liberation. In 1856, Samuel Woodward and his family escape the Monroe Plantation, relying on the Underground Railroad to evade the relentless slave hunter Plimpton. Simultaneously, Captain John Newton’s transformative voyage in 1748 establishes a legacy that will inspire Samuel and many others to challenge oppression and fight for their freedom.
