What Is Forgotten Light About?
The premise of Forgotten Light without spoilers.
Father Holy, a village priest in 1980s Czechoslovakia, battles state and Church bureaucracy to fund a new roof for his church, showing good‑humored devotion to the villagers. When his fight fails, he is transferred away from his parish and allies. Adapted by Czech‑American Milena Jelinek, it is based on Jakub Deml’s 1934 novel The Forgotten Light.
