Spoilers ahead

In the 1930s, the Black Cats—a roaming Aerial Circus under the steady eye of Speed Hardy—keep the skies buzzing with death-defying feats and high-spirited bravado. The troupe welcomes a bold new performer, former airmail pilot Ace Murray, who brings his younger brother, Bud Murray, into the fold. The two brothers quickly become pivotal to the show, especially when Ace and Bud attempt a daring “double parachute” jump that doubles as the act’s newest centerpiece. The spectacle intensifies as the performance earns bigger crowds, and the spotlight widens to include Speed’s wife, Mrs. Ann Hardy, whose presence adds a charged tension to the already perilous air of the circus. The mood thickens when Bud and Ann’s growing closeness begins to blur the lines between professional risk and personal longing.
