Fatal Intuition 2015

Jang-woo, Joo Won, and his sister Eun-ji, Ryu Hye-young, are orphans living in a quiet seaside town, leaning on each other as they chase a brighter future after high school. When Eun-ji disappears, her bruised body is found three days later, dumped in a large bucket of water at their washhouse. With no witnesses and little evidence to go on, Jang-woo turns to faith and ritual, hoping to lay Eun-ji’s spirit to rest. During the rite, he notices a suspicious man and reads it as a sign from Eun-ji from the afterlife, which pushes him to追者 the killer on his own terms.

Si-eun, Lee You-young, has long been ostracized in town for a supposed psychic gift that lets her foresee death. She had foreseen Eun-ji’s death but kept silent, and the weight of that guilt drives her to approach Jang-woo to share the clues from her visions. The images are fragmented and do not reveal the killer’s face, yet they hint at patterns across several other murders. The duo begins pursuing these clues, hoping to connect them into a clearer picture of the threat looming over their community.

As Si-eun’s visions sharpen, she foresees the next target, and Jang-woo heads to the predicted site to confront the killer. There, he encounters Pharmacist Min, Yoo Hai-jin, known throughout the town as its kindest figure. Jang-woo becomes convinced Min is the serial killer, but the police refuse to investigate him because of his spotless reputation. Driven by his sister’s memory, Jang-woo resolves to take matters into his own hands, while Si-eun receives another vision of the upcoming murder, underscoring the danger that closes in.
