Go Joo-yeon, Kim Hye-soo, is a self-centered star actress who has long enjoyed fame, money, and the company of handsome young partners. Dan-ji’s sister and her boyfriend exploit the situation, coercing money from Joo-yeon before fleeing to Australia, leaving Dan-ji behind in an orphanage and facing an increasingly uncertain future for the baby. Dan-ji contemplates giving the baby up for adoption, turning the story into a tense web of leverage, loyalty, and desperation. Joo-yeon learns of this perilous turn and confronts the situation head-on, guiding Dan-ji toward the art competition while skipping a press conference that would have publicly addressed the pregnancy. The moment culminates in a complex moral negotiation: Dan-ji gives birth and the baby comes to live with Joo-yeon, binding the two generations of women in a fraught, uneasy alliance shaped by ambition, vulnerability, and the unpredictable twists of trust.
