What Is Face of the Screaming Werewolf About?

Dr. Edmund Redding discovers Ann Taylor is an Aztec reincarnation. Her memories guide him to a chamber in the Pyramid, where they find a mummy and a corpse. A psychic woman named Ann Taylor, Rosita Arenas, regressed to a former life through hypnosis, leads archaeologists into an ancient Aztec pyramid where they uncover a tomb containing two mummies: a mummified Caucasian werewolf, Lon Chaney Jr., and a mummified Aztec warrior. A mad doctor, Yerye Beirute, abducts the werewolf-mummy to his lab and manages to revive him. As the full moon rises, the wrapped creature awakens into a snarling werewolf, setting off a brutal rampage.
Meanwhile, the second mummy—the Aztec warrior—escapes captivity later that same night and hones in on Ann Taylor, attempting to kidnap her from her apartment. The pursuit ends abruptly when both are struck by a car and killed off-screen, and a hastily printed newspaper headline proclaims the mummy’s death, effectively ending that thread.
