Spoilers ahead
Emily Hope, Alicia Silverstone, hatches a bold plan to stage her own kidnapping in order to grab the attention of her wealthy, corrupt father, Alexander. She seals the scheme with a voice-disguising gadget and directs him to drop $1 million onto a barge gliding beneath a bridge where he stands, a dramatic move that sets the tense plot in motion. Emily also makes a chilling revelation: his daughter can be found in the trunk of her BMW 850i, parked in a nearby garage, a detail she uses to heighten the stakes of the ruse.
