What Is Eric & Ernie About?
The premise of Eric & Ernie without spoilers.
A single drama chronicles the early partnership of Eric Morecambe and Ernie Wise, following their rise from child performers to beloved national icons. Eric first calls Ernie “big head, short legs,” yet their bond deepens with encouragement from Eric’s determined mother Sadie. After success in children’s variety they climb the live‑performance ladder, and after a disastrous TV debut on Running Wild they choose to trust their instincts and simply make people laugh.
