Anjali Manju Warrier is the third daughter of a late music teacher, and she lives with her two elder sisters, Ashwathy Mohini and Aarthi Chippy, plus their grandmother, Muthassi Lakshmi Krishnamurthy. When Gopi Dileep moves into his brother’s house as Anjali’s neighbor, a quiet, enduring romance blossoms between them, shifting the course of every family member’s life. The couple’s plans for marriage are complicated by the fact that Anjali’s family has two elder unmarried sisters, creating pressure and expectations that loom large over their happiness.

Gopi tries to help Ashwathy find a suitable groom, but the alliance falls apart because Ashwathy is mute and deaf, making the match tough to sustain. After two failed attempts to secure Ashwathy’s marriage, a surprising development arrives: Gopi’s friend Biju Menon confesses that he loves Ashwathy, adding a new layer of hope and sacrifice to the family’s already heavy load. In response, Gopi supports him in pursuing marriage to Ashwathy, reinforcing the theme of family solidarity.

Following this, the family then turns to securing a match for Aarthi. Yet Aarthi admits she has never gotten over her old boyfriend, complicating the plan and testing Gopi’s resolve. Desperate to help, Gopi and Anjali locate the old sweetheart, hoping to persuade him to marry Aarthi. He admits that he does like Anjali, but he warns that his mother would demand a substantial dowry. Undeterred, Gopi goes to great lengths, including getting his brother to lend out his house to secure the money and the ornaments demanded, which somehow come from Aarthi’s boyfriend himself.

That night, a tragedy strikes: a drunkard step-brother steals the ornaments from Anjali’s house, and Gopi confronts him, resulting in an accidental killing. He confesses to Anjali that he killed him, but they keep the secret until Aarthi’s wedding has passed. The truth finally emerges when Gopi is arrested right in front of the wedding guests, turning their moment of joy into a tense, collective ordeal.

Five years pass, and when Gopi returns from prison, Anjali and the entire family await him with a mix of relief and hope. The film closes on a note of resilience and reunification, leaving the family stronger for having weathered the storm together.
