Spoilers ahead
The sudden death of a close friend brings a circle of former college friends back together at the funeral, years after they drifted apart. After the service, Ms. Stevens reveals a surprising setup: they are all eligible for a substantial inheritance if they can spend five days together at the deceased’s estate, with her overseeing the arrangement. The will’s rule is strict: if anyone leaves before the five days are up, everyone forfeits their share. What begins as a lighthearted reunion quickly grows tense as old wounds reopen and long-held grudges resurface. Much of the strain is fed by Ebony’s persistent eavesdropping, which stirs paranoia and distrust among the group.
