What Is Duffer About?
The premise of Duffer without spoilers.
An intense, bizarre study of obsession that shifts between beauty and disturbance, the film follows a teenage boy caught between the gentle, womanly charms of a kindly prostitute and the cruel, sadistic attentions of an older man. Both whimsical and unsettling, it carries a quirky grotesque tone and resists easy comparison.
