Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya 2014

Gopala Krishna is a bank employee who is nearing 40 years of age. He married a naïve woman named Bhavani at the age of 18 because of his grandmother’s request, thereby sacrificing his true love. Since then he has toiled hard for survival and settles down around 35 with two kids: Madhu, an engineering student, and a younger school-going child. He also flirts with younger women for a bit of mental satisfaction, a habit that irks his friend Sathyam, whose own marriage is strained by a jealous and suspicious wife.

A 21-year-old aerobics trainer, Samhitha, enters their world and is admired by both Krishna and Madhu—though neither knows the other’s feelings. Samhitha is actually Madhu’s college senior who paused her studies and now has to repay a loan at the bank where Krishna works. Both men befriend her and fall in love, all the while unaware of the developing rivalry between them. To help Samhitha, Krishna even secures a loan from a local gangster.

On Samhitha’s birthday, Krishna visits her and proposes marriage. Madhu sees this from a distance, is crushed, and ends his ties with Samhitha, deciding to protect Bhavani, whom Krishna holds dear. He attempts in every way to drive a wedge between Krishna and Bhavani but failing to do so, and the couple goes ahead with a marriage registration at Arya Samaj.

On the day of the wedding, Bhavani visits a temple, and with information from Samhitha, the police nab and interrogate Madhu. He reveals that he loved Samhitha and wanted to marry her. The ensuing turmoil leads Krishna to confront the truth that he is already married to Bhavani, a revelation that unsettles the already fragile situation. The tension escalates, and Samhitha contemplates legal action against the trio, but after recognizing Krishna’s genuine change, she drops her plans. Krishna then unites with Bhavani, and Samhitha forgives the couple and leaves, while Madhu looks on.
