In a cramped, windowless room, a group of women who are all dead share the same small space, each carrying a life cut short from very different walks of life. The scene opens with the Hindu woman, Kajol as Jyoti, solemnly praying in a rhythm that frames the quiet gravity of their odd living arrangement.
