What Is Devastated About?
The premise of Devastated without spoilers.
A middle-aged Indian policeman recounts his experiences as a ‘sacrificial assistant,’ an agent authorized to carry out extra-judicial killings of Muslim men, in intense conversations with his wife and lover. Interwoven with this narrative, Lord Krishna and Prince Arjuna engage in a dialogue from the Bhagavad Gita. Arjuna, unable to act due to moral concerns, seeks guidance from Krishna, who imparts the moral obligations of a warrior. The film explores themes of duty, morality, and the complexities of justice through these contrasting storylines.
