In 1948 a young man, a boy and a waiter glimpse an enigmatic woman in a lilac dress during a full moon. The encounter ripples through decades, touching more than 80 figures—a disc jockey, a fairy‑princess, a gangster, poet Alexander Pushkin and even a nostalgic dog—blurring dream and reality. Director Shakhnazarov weaves these threads into a mysterious, exhilarating mosaic that celebrates memory’s waltz.
