Two college friends, Uttam Pradhan as Abhi and Dilip Rayamajhi as Raj, share a close bond on campus. Abhi is blind, and Raj takes care of him, offering support through classes, campus life, and the everyday challenges of navigating a world without sight. A newcomer, Niruta Singh as Smriti, enters their circle, bringing warmth, curiosity, and a stubborn spark that unsettles their quiet routine. Abhi’s mother, a supportive presence in his life, is played by Laxmi Giri, whose care anchors the trio through rough patches.
During a college picnic, the girls pull a prank by hiding the boys’ clothes. In a chaotic moment, the boys improvise with leaves to cover themselves, triggering allergies and drawing stern words from the college principal who scolds Smriti for harming their star basketball player, Raj. Smriti apologizes, and gradually Raj and Smriti grow closer as friends, setting the stage for something more.
As time passes, both Abhi and Raj find themselves drawn to Smriti. Abhi proposes, but Smriti leaves his house in shock and confesses that she loves Raj. Not long after, Raj proposes, and Smriti reveals that her heart actually belongs to Abhi. At a dinner where the three share stories, Abhi reveals a painful secret: a past accident left him blind, an accident Raj was involved in, deepening the rift between them.
Abhi’s mother senses the tension and helps guide the friends toward forgiveness. When they confront Smriti again, they learn she is in the hospital fighting for her life. Smriti’s father, Tulsi Ghimire, hands them a letter in which she explains she had learned she had last-stage cancer the day before Abhi’s proposal and chose not to break his heart. She asks that her eyes be donated to Abhi and for Raj to stay strong and protective of his friend. Smriti passes away. The film closes with Abhi and Raj reading aloud their own story, a book titled Darpan Chaya, suggesting their friendship—and Smriti’s memory—endures beyond loss.
