This short documentary explores the lives of three individuals in the Pamarawan community: Ka Odi and Ka Edgar, skilled fishermen using the traditional “mambabaklad” technique, and Nanay Aring, a resident of the island. It portrays their daily struggles to earn a living, provide for their families, and navigate the challenges of fishing outside natural habitats. The film highlights the community’s simple way of life and the looming threat posed by the nearby San Miguel Corp.’s ‘Aerocity’ airport construction, which endangers their food sources and livelihoods.
